Beginning the week of August 11, the SSFUSD nutrition services department is temporarily pausing the breakfast program at middle schools and high schools due to short staffing.
Breakfast service will resume after staffing levels return to appropriate levels.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended our ability to provide school lunches at no cost through the 2021-22 school year.
This means that all students can pick up a free school lunch at at the school they are attending without having to sign up for free or reduced priced meals.
However, families that do complete an official application for free or reduced price meals may qualify for benefits such as:
- Athletic fee waivers;
- Bus passes;
- Discounts on advanced placement (AP) testing fees; and
- Discounts on monthly internet service.
