Who Knew You Could Make a Career Dressing Up as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee?

Sunshine Gardens Elementary School students were excited to meet local businesses and community organizations at school on May 3, 2024, as part of the school's first ever career day event.
Sunshine Gardens Elementary School students were excited to meet local businesses and community organizations at school as part of the school's first ever career day event on May 3, 2024.
 
"It was like a big show-and-tell event," said Sunshine Gardens Elementary School Principal Leticia Gonzalez. "I'm so glad the students had the opportunity to experience this, and that the community was wiling to share their time with our kids." 
 
Students had the chance to get an up close look at a fire truck and ambulance, while collecting stamps by asking questions of individuals representing a variety of organizations located in the school's multi-purpose room including:
Cosplayer Roger Presa may have received the most curious questions from students.
 
Presa whose three children attend transitional kindergarten (TK) at Sunshine Gardens brought in a 10-foot tall costume of Autobot leader Optimus Prime and a nine-foot costume of Autobot scout Bumblebee that he has designed and worn to various comic book conventions around the country.
