Culinary Arts 1 is an introductory course in the Food Service and Hospitality pathway. Students will learn the management and culinary skills needed for a career in the restaurant and food service industry with an emphasis on safety, sanitation, and kitchen management essentials. Students will participate in hands on labs throughout the course to enhance their learning opportunities. Guest speakers and field trips will provide college and career awareness within the food service industry. Students who complete this course may earn a Food Handler’s Certification.
