REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR IS ONGOING

 

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR, Grades TK- 12

IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN ON JANUARY 21, 2025

  • Please go to the Inter-District Transfer page for information on enrollment for students who reside outside of the District.
  • Students must turn 5 by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten and must turn 4 between September 1st to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten. These dates are firm and exceptions are not considered. 
  • If you want your student to attend a school that is not your resident school, please register first, then apply for Open Enrollment during the request period (February 1 - April 15). Please go to the Open Enrollment page for more information.
 

The new student enrollment process involves a number of steps and requires that various documents from the family.  Please read the requirements for enrollment carefully and fill out the enrollment form linked below for your student(s) for the upcoming school year. It is of the utmost importance that ALL of the enrollment documents be gathered and submitted to your school in order for the enrollment to be considered completed. Documents can be submitted via the Online Registration Kiosk (below) or by appointment with your student's school of residence.

1) ADDRESS VERIFICATION – One of the following

  • Current PG&E utility Bill in the parent name
  • Residency Affidavit - Approved at the District Office (see instructions on what to bring to the District Office)
  • SSFUSD Approved Inter-District Transfer Letter (for non-residents only)
 
Students must be physically living with their parent/guardian within district boundaries (BP 51111 Education Code 48200). Ownership of property within the district does not in and itself constitute residency.
2) PROOF OF AGE – One of the following
Certified copy of birth record; statement by local registrar or a county recorder certifying the date of birth; baptism certificate; passport; or notarized affidavit of birth.
3) IMMUNIZATION RECORD
Immunizations are required at the time of school enrollment for all students entering school TK/K through 12th grades.  Please find the California state requirements at www.shotsforschool.org
4) PARENT/GUARDIAN PHOTO ID
5) CURRENT IEP or 504 PLAN – if applicable
6) CURRENT REPORT CARD (recommended K-8th) / TRANSCRIPT (required 9th-12th)

7) ORAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT & PHYSICAL EXAM (for students attending school for the first time, generally TK/K or 1st grade)

The form titled “Physician’s Statement of Physical Exam Form” can be found below in the Important Documents section or you may submit a record of physical exam from your healthcare provider.

 
  • Step-by-step instructions for online registration are available in English, Spanish, and Tagalog
  • Required registration documents can be uploaded to the online application or be given directly to the local school office.
  • The office staff of the school of residence will review and verify the application and required registration documents. Documents must be complete and up-to-date in order to be accepted.
