Join Our Team as a Substitute Teacher!

To apply to become a Substitute Teacher at SSFUSD, please fill out a substitute teacher application at edjoin.org and include all the required attachments.

The Human Resources Department will contact only those applicants that SSFUSD wishes to interview.

SSFUSD Substitute Teacher Pay Rate (effective August 10, 2022)
Daily Rate	$240 (full day) $120 (half day)
Five (5) to twenty (20) consecutive days in same job assignment	$260 (full day) $130 (half day)
Twenty-one (21) or more consecutive days in same job assignment	$300 (full day) $150 (half day)
*Note: For retired SSFUSD substitute teachers, the daily pay rate is $300 (full day) or $150 (half day) regardless of consecutive days in the same job assignment.

Requirements

Applicants with Teaching Credentials

Multiple subject / single subject teaching credential
Proof of valid California teaching credential
Certificate of fingerprint clearance
CBEST results
Official transcripts
TB test results (within the last 60 days)
Valid drivers license
Social Security card
Passport photo (for ID Badge)

Applicants without Teaching Credentials

Emergency, 30-day substitute teacher permit (apply at California Commission on Teacher Credentialing)
Certificate of fingerprint clearance
CBEST results
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Original BA diploma (or higher)
Official transcripts
TB test results (within the last 60 days)
Valid driver’s license
Social Security card

**Pick up SSFUSD hiring packet at SSFUSD district office before fingerprinting appointment.

Timesheets

Current substitute teachers can track their hours and view current openings via www.frontlinek12.com/aesop.

A personal login and PIN code is required.
