Superintendent's Message on End of 2023-24 School Year 5-22-24 It's almost the end of the school year, and I want to thank you for working with us to make sure that our students have been learning and achieving. Your efforts are paying off! Our amazing students from El Camino and South San Francisco High Schools recently took home 47 of 50 scholarships at the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce's scholarship luncheon on April 25. Our annual senior awards have also demonstrated how achievement and success continue to be the hallmarks of our high schools, while our Golden Apple Awards honor the contributions of our employees and retirees.
So SSFUSD Has a New Strategic Plan. Now What? South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) administrators and principals of the district’s nine elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools met on March 14, 2024, to strategize about ways to bring the district’s portrait of a graduate to life at individual schools.
Superintendent's Message on Portrait of a Graduate Activities: 5-2-24 I wanted to take the opportunity to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to you. Your active engagement in your children's academic lives and extracurricular activities including school plays and musicals, band performances, and school and community events is inspiring! Your attendance and participation help to ensure the social-emotional well-being of your children and help to keep them happy, health, and thriving. Thank you so much for supporting our schools, teachers, and employees.
Superintendent's Message on Extended Power Outage 2-5-24 As a result of the strong winds and severe weather conditions over the weekend, we are continuing to experience an extended power outage at Monte Verde Elementary.
Winter Storm Warning 1-30-24 We are expecting severe weather conditions as a strong winter storm featuring high winds and potential heavy rainfall is expected to impact San Mateo County this week. The heaviest rainfall is expected in the region on Wednesday and Thursday and will be accompanied by high winds with gusts of 40-50 mph at coastal locations and ridgelines. There may be downed powerlines and trees and possible flooding as a result of the high winds and saturated soils.
Superintendent's Holiday Message: 12-20-23 I wanted to take this opportunity to wish each of you a happy, safe, joyful holiday season! Before winter break begins, I want to thank you all for your engagement and support this year. There is so much to acknowledge and celebrate from the first part of our school year!
